What do I see ? Well…. I see many things …I see… Blue,
Nature, life, land, grass, air, people, animals, rocks, water, homeland,
beautiful, amazing, unique, light, dark, good, bad, our mother, moon, extraordinary,
oceans, countries, clouds, circle, sphere, fragile, powerful, potent, peaceful,
fierce, nurturing, distorted, breathtaking, inspiring, unappreciated,
miraculous, wild, chaotic, mysterious, wonderful, exquisite, our future, our past, our present, love,
large, massive, essential, divine, cruel, strange, hope, real, far, black,
grey, white, craters, abstract,- also known as our planet EARTH!
Well, what I think that is happening is that NASA went on
trip to the moon. I think they wanted to visit our one and only moon we have.
They probably wanted to do more observations and see if they discover anything
new. I believe this photo was taken by astronaut William Anders during the
Apollo 8 mission in 1968. They probably just wanted to take a picture of how
the earth in which we live in looks like. Or the probably wanted to test if there
camera or photography device worked. Especially
since it was from 1968, so probably they didn’t have advanced technology as we
do today. Even though in the picture it
looks very clear and HD, I believe they fixed that picture and made it clearer
and less distorted. I think this because years before I would have guessed they
have black and white pictures, with low definition or quality, and, very
unclear. Or who knows? Well, obviously they do. But can you imagine that trip
all the way from inside earth to outside earth? It sounds amazing! I mean a
rocket ship is HUGE and for it not to fall, is just simply extraordinary!
Honestly to me it surprises me in a lot of different ways, especially since it
was from a while back ago. Technology wasn’t
so much advanced, but they still managed to do it and explore. I think every mission they make outside of
this world must be very risky and very scary. Mostly because you’re traveling
in this huge apparatus and you are completely going off into this totally different
environment that you are not use to your daily life. I understand they have
models or examples of what they’re going to experience. But, the real stuff is
once you get out of this planet.
It also was probably a very thrilling and excited feeling.
Not everyone gets to travel outside of this world, especially if you are going to
go visit our one and only moon. Plus,
all that adaptation they have to go through, for example being able to float or
eating space-food for however time there traveling. Since they are traveling very far, but I mean
very far they take days to get there or maybe even weeks. It’s not like here
when we catch a plane and expect to be to our destination in a couple of hours
or next day. Oh no, here we are traveling out of this planet to go into the universe
and travel to the MOON! Imagine the
distance it takes, it’s probably like millions of miles away from here, even
though it looks like its just right here. As if it was as far as the clouds. Imagine how
much tons of fuel they have to put into the space ship, in order for them to
get to their destination. Must be a scary thought, like what if gods forbid
they ran out of fuel during their journey. They do estimate how much they need
and everything, of course, but sometimes things never go as planned. But
nothing is worth the try, without risk or fear many things from our knowledge
will be held against us. So, off the space ship goes, while many people
watching it getting prepared to leave out of this world. It’s a very exciting
and scary moment for the world. All you see is the massive sets of fire flaming
from under the space ship ready to launch. Finally the crew is ready, they inspected
everything for the ship, got there provisions, and here they go. 1, 2, 3,
LAUNCH!!!! They go up the sky in the
speed of a bolt, but once it’s barely seen it takes hour to have reached the
atmosphere and break off from Earth. Once the space ship is out of this earth,
there goes into a total different environment. Here is where gravity exist, all
of the sudden all the crew members are floating all around the space ship.
Nothing they can’t help doing, but sure seem like a little bit of fun. But not
all the time because sometimes I believe too much moving around could cause dizziness
or sickness, especially now since they are traveling at a very fast speed.
Days and Days pass, and with the usual routine of space traveling
going on. But now all the space members have been through very unique and
different experiences. They look out at the universe, our galaxy! As there
getting closer and closer, the astronauts are getting prepared to arrive.
Finally they arrive! Eureka! They made it; they finally set ground to the
moon. William Anders is the first astronaut
to come out of the space ship. He comes out and carries a photography device
with him. Staying very focused and calm he travels along his way on the moon. He
is carrying his oxygen tank and his huge astronaut suit. Managing to do as he
was thought, He calmly makes his way a mile away from the ship with his photography
device and settles it down. Trying to
adjust it a corresponding angle for it to face what is known to be our planet
or mother of land. He calls back the other astronauts that are in the ship to
make sure he is placing the device at an accurate angle. They give him his feedback
and he adjust the device one more time. “Perfect Anders! That is the perfect
place!” Ander takes back a few steps takes his remote of the photography and “CLICKKK.”
